Summer 2008 vacation

September 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We had a summer vacation this year in Jeju island from Aug 18-22, 2008 after attending the ICMAP 2008 conference. It was the second time for me to visit this island but I had more unique experiences this time. We started at 4pm from Seoul by subway to reach incheon harbour because we were going to take a ship trip instead of common airplane. The idea come from Dr Lee who saw the ship trip in a tv program. It was great at first to take the ship. There are many beautiful scenes of incheon cities from the sea, many doves come over us to take some foods and lot of entertainment provides by the ship crews. In the morning you can also see the very beautiful views of sunrise in Jeju island from the ship. It takes 14 hours from incheon to Jeju seaport.

The next days we visited several tour places in Jeju island such as: cheonjeyon waterfalls, jungmun beach, fishing, gokart racing, and climbing halla mountain (1900m is the highest place in South korea).
